David E. Pearson |
Pearson Management Group, Inc.
David E. Pearson received a B.S. degree in Building
Science from Auburn University in 1973. He spent the first 8
years of his career on construction sites as an assistant
project manager and later as project manager. His first
assignment as project manager was the renovation of 302 Wherry
Housing Units at Shaw Air Force Base near Sumter, S.C. During
the early 1980s, David worked for Blount International in
Montgomery, Alabama, where he served as Contracts Manager.
In May 1985, David became a founding partner and Vice President
of the U.S. division of an international construction consulting
firm based in Montreal Canada. David formed his own consulting
firm, Pearson Management Group, Inc. in 1989. Pearson employs a
staff of approximately 20 professionals and analyst. During the
past 15 years the firm has provided construction management,
contract management, scheduling and dispute resolution services
across North America and the Caribbean.
About half of the firms work is related to construction claims
and half to managing construction projects. David has served as
an expert witness approximately 80 times, testifying in Federal
and State Courts and Arbitration. For 14 years David served as
an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. Pearson
Management Group, Inc. has served as program manager and owner’s
representative on some of the largest and most complex
commercial construction projects undertaken in the U.S. Those
projects include the 2003 renovation of Soldier Field, Chicago,
Illinois, construction of the Diplomat Resort in Hollywood,
Florida, and several large Casino/Resort projects in Las Vegas,
Nevada, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Tunica, Mississippi. Mr.
Pearson has authored several articles and lectured on
construction management topics.
