ASSOCIATED OWNERS & DEVELOPERS ENDORSES CM CERTIFICATION

McLean, VA - Associated Owners & Developers, (AOD), Headquartered in McLean, VA , today officially endorsed the Construction Management Association of America's (CMAA) "CM Certification" program at the AOD Annual Seminar in Washington,D.C.

"CMAA's Certification Program provides owners and developers with a reliable way to determine if an individual possesses the experience and understands the body of knowledge required to provide professional construction management services," said Joseph D.Wilbanks, of The Walt Disney Company and Chairman of AOD's Steering Committee."Since the Construction Management practice exists to benefit owners, we feel that it is important that we be able to identify those who have the demonstrated experience and knowledge to best serve us," Wilbanks continued.

CMAA's voluntary Certification Program was launched in 1994 to identify those individuals who have at least four years of responsibliity in-charge experience as a construction manager acting in the interests of the Owner and Developer.

Under the guidance of Executive Director, Bruce D'Agostino, this certification program is on its way toward gaining acceptance across the industry.
